


Dr Mark Kavenagh
Director
Mark began his career as a registered psychologist in Australia before transitioning to international child protection work focused on the Pacific and South East Asian regions. His work has covered program design, delivery, research and research translation for over 15 years. Since establishing Evident in 2022, he has led numerous projects for clients regarding young people’s online safety, vulnerabilities facing LGBTQ+ people, and the challenges facing boys and men grappling with new forms of masculinity.
Prior to Evident, Mark worked for both small organisations and in regional roles for larger NGOs. Mark was the principal investigator for a 13-country Disrupting Harm study in his previous role for ECPAT International. He also convened the 2023 ASEAN ICT Forum for Child Online Protection as part of his work for UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office. Mark has authored papers in peer-reviewed journals focusing on child sexual abuse and trafficking, with a particular emphasis on boys and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Mark holds a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Rangsima Deesawade
Technical Advisor for Child Online Protection
With over 15 years’ experience working with local and international NGOs as well as governments within the ASEAN region, Rangsima is a regional expert in the fields of child protection and child rights. At Evident she provides technical guidance to the Leaked project and has worked on evaluations and policy advice regarding child online protection for numerous clients. Prior to joining Evident, a major achievement she is proud of was successfully driving the adoption of the "Declaration on the Protection of Children from All Forms of Online Exploitation and Abuse in ASEAN" and its accompanying Regional Action Plan. She served as the focal point for the Disrupting Harm research project at ECPAT International.
She holds a Masters in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Leeds, UK.

Sikharin Singsakorn
Project Manager
A trained social worker, Sikharin has worked at Evident on Project Possible - the design and initial delivery of an innovative counter-trafficking project focused on LGBTQ+ people vulnerable to trafficking in Thailand. With extensive knowledge and experience in child online safety, she currently leads projects developing curriculum related to technology facilitated gender based violence, and research exploring boys in online gaming contexts. Prior to joining Evident, she managed research projects and programming for ILO, UNICEF, and ECPAT Foundation. Over her career, she has provided direct social work services for vulnerable populations including victims of sex and labour trafficking, exploited workers, children engaged in unsafe labor, and young people subject to sexual abuse.
She holds a degree in Social Work from Thammasat University, Thailand, and is currently completing her Masters in Social Policy, also at Thammasat University.

Jennifer Schatz
Project Manager for Child Online Protection
Jennifer leads in the design and delivery of two major projects for Evident, Leaked and Positive Pacific Masculinities. The Leaked project first sought to understand self-generated sexual content involving young people in Thailand, and is now aimed at developing and piloting an intervention to address this issue with young people. The Positive Pacific Masculinities project will build an online platform that boys in the Pacific region will engage with as they construct the best versions of themselves as young men. Before joining Evident, Jennifer was a key player at ECPAT International on the Disrupting Harm project which explored the complexities of online child sexual exploitation and abuse across 13 countries.
She holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of Vienna, Austria, and a Masters in War and Conflict Studies, with a specific focus on child protection in armed conflict, from the University of Potsdam in Germany.

Lattapol Jirapathomsakul
Project Coordinator
Lattapol has worked on Project Possible, Evident’s innovative counter-trafficking project for vulnerable LGBTQ+ people. Currently he is putting his academic background in gender and cultural studies into practice working on our Positive Pacific Masculinities project and research exploring boys in gaming contexts. Prior to joining Evident, Lattapol worked for SEA Junction, where he worked on various projects spanning human rights and gender.
He holds a degree in Politics and International Relations from Thammasat University, Thailand.

Christmas Kongmak
Administration Officer
Christmas has a background in tourism, having worked as an Italian-Thai translator and created and managed social media content promoting Thailand to tourism industry clients. He brings this experience to Evident, where he supports our team with operational tasks and enhances efficiency, including by making excellent espresso. He is fluent in Thai, English and Italian.
He holds a degree in Industrial Design from the Nova Academic di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy.

Dr Mark Capaldi
Technical Advisor for Research
Mark is an associate of Evident, consulting on child rights projects. Over more than 30 years, he has worked directly with child rights organisations including Concern Worldwide, Pact Inc, Save the Children, and ECPAT International. Based in Bangkok, he has worked extensively on child migration, child trafficking, the sexual exploitation of children and child and youth participation in Southeast Asia. Recent peer-reviewed publications undertaken with Evident team members include articles on the sexual exploitation of boys and child sexual abuse/exploitation and LGBTQ+ children. He has also co-authored books on migration in Southeast Asia and the death penalty in ASEAN Member States.
He holds a PhD on independent child migration in Thailand from the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies at Mahidol University in Thailand, where he currently also serves as a lecturer and senior researcher.
